LADY J HUSTON is respected as one of the most spectacular entertainers on the music scene! She is renown for her captivating Vocals, Trumpet and mesmerizing Stage Presence!! She recently signed with the Earwig Music label and is now focusing more energy on building her career as a recording artist. The band is in the studio recording an album of Soul and Blues music that you'll definitely enjoy.
Lady J toured with Blues legend, Albert King, as Music Director, Trumpeter, and Vocalist, performing on shows with greats such as; B.B. King, Etta James, Bobby Blue Bland, Robert Cray and others! A native St. Louisan, she accepted academic and music scholarships to attend the University of KS and Howard University (DC) as a major in Music Theory/Composition. While in Washington, DC, Lady J recorded an album with the Howard University Jazz Ensemble and was featured on shows with Blues originator Alberta Hunter and Jazz great Lionel Hampton. She performed with the De-Shiya Go-Go band that opened for Run-DMC and Pieces of a Dream. She played on a show alongside Donald Byrd, guest performer on shows with Dizzie Gillespie and Freddie Hubbard, and was at an event to perform for Shirley Chisolm but the preceding act wouldn't get off the stage!
Lady J and her partner Johnny Stewart (brother of R&B '60s star Billy Stewart) formed a band in DC (Johnny & Joyce & The Choice Band) then relocated to Los Angeles, CA where she earned a B.S.B.A degree. A photo of their group is included in the 2021 PBS documentary "Fat Boy: The Billy Stewart Story". She is also credited with providing genealogical research for the film, one of her favorite past times.
Johnny Stewart sang as "Sam" with the R&B act "Sam & Dave" and later with Bill Pinkney's Original Drifters. Lady J would perform with them in Las Vegas where she settled for 25 years. During her career with Johnny, some of their highlights include: opening for The Coasters, Joe Houston, Bobby Blue Bland at the Cotton Club, and as one of the last acts to perform at the iconic Moulin Rouge in Las Vegas.
She formed her own band "Lady J Huston & The Fireballs" that won multiple awards as Best Blues Performer and Band and became heralded as The Las Vegas Queen of Blues. She had a guest appearance on America's Got Talent Season 3 Finale, ABC World News Tonight feature story, festivals, showrooms, TV, newspapers, magazines and more.

In 2018, The Lady J Huston Show debuted in St. Louis, MO (where she currently resides) at the National Blues Museum.
