LADY J HUSTON RECEIVES MUSIC GRANT COHORT AWARD FROM MUSIC TO LIFE

We are excited to announce that Lady J Huston has been selected as an official Juried Artist with Music to Life (MtL) for the spring 2024, Musician Changemaker Accelerator Academy!

Representing Missouri, 10 artists were selected in states across America. MtL is a national nonprofit founded by a cultural icon for the political and protest movements of the ‘60’s, Noel Paul Stookey (of the folk trio Peter, Paul & Mary) and his enterprising daughter, Liz, carrying the organization's vision together. They are dedicated to cultivating & empowering a network of musician change agents.

Lady J’s program, “Harmony of Heritage: Empowering Voices through Blues” will educate and inspire African American youth in St. Louis, MO to discover their family trees and learn the integral role Blues has played in all American music genres. They will incorporate these concepts into performances, songwriting, or other musical expressions that will enhance their social landscape and communities.
