Hey y'all in my St. Louis drawl . I ĥeaded over to the #1 Blues calendar of events operated by Dave Beardsley to see what was happening tonight. I got side-tracked reading about Jeremiah Johnson #1 on Billboard, then scrolled down & reacquainted myself with the feature story on me by Bob Baugh in the Big City Rhythm & Blues Magazine. This was one of my highest joys for 2022.
What makes the article even more special here, is that Dave took the time to build an entire web page to make it easily available. Bob's opening: "The National Blues Museum (NBM) Legends Room was packed for the #OliverSain Oliver Sain Tribute at the 2018 Big Muddy Blues Festival when a murmur ran through the room. An unknown woman had stepped on stage and was being waved over by the renowned saxophonist, #AmosBrewer (R.I.P.), to join him at the mic. The lady with the dimple smiled, pulled out a pocket trumpet and proceeded to blow the crowd away. It was Lady J’s way of announcing she was on the comeback trail."
I want to again thank both of you Blues enthusiast gentlemen for presenting & preserving my history & future in music. Be sure to check out the website & local musicians you're missing out if you don't have your own page there in the portal.
